then & now.

Day 27 - A picture of you last year and now and how you changed since then?

[then]
 [now]
Friend/Relative: What are your plans for after you graduate?
Me (then): I have no idea. Right now I just want to live life and go with the flow.
Me (now): I'm applying to PR Agencies. I want to move and start my life as an adult with Mr. E and hopefully find time to do some more crafts and photography.

This past year has been quite the trip for me. I moved to a new city, started a new school and was in the beginning of a new relationship. Last year I was still that wide eyed college kid who had no idea what I was doing, what I wanted to do, or where I wanted to be. I've grown a lot this year. I'm realizing that it's time to take on the repsonsibilities that I had been avoiding for a few years. I've met a man who respects me and makes me happier than I could ever imagine. I can safely say that I've matured more in the past year than in the three years after college. I can only hope that I continue to grow in the direction I am. It will be interesting to look back a year from now and see if all of my goals and dreams have come true.

Day 28 - Your favorite movie.
At the risk sounding cliche, my favorite movie changes with my mood. If I'm feeling romantic I always reach for The Notebook. I'm also a softy for Pixar movies. I love them, and have made it a mission to watch every single one. Monsters Inc. will always have my heart though.

sisters. my purse. mini vacations

Day 24 - A photo of something that means a lot to you.
My sisters. They are my life. I wouldn't be the person I am today with out these two girls. They are my best friends and mean the world to me.

Day 25 - What's in your purse?
To most my purse would be used as a small duffel bag. I'm guilty of carrying the huge purse, and have recently graduated to a tote that has taken place of my large purse. Monday-Friday I'm either at school and carrying my books around or going to work and carrying my book, lunch, and work shoes. A tote fits my life right now. No apologies from me. I LOVE BIG BAGS. So here's what's in it today after a long day of class.

Day 26 - A photo of somewhere you've been to.

Mr. E and I took a weekend trip to the Adirondacks this past summer. It was one of the best trips I've gone on in a long time. The views were beautiful and I got to spend a lot of quality time with Mr. E. I'm hoping we can have another weekend getaway soon. What to you think Mr. E?

day 16. day 17. and pancakes.

Day 16 - Your celebrity crush.
I think it's safe to say that I don't have a particular celebrity crush. As cliche as it sounds I don't spend a lot of time crushing on people I'll never meet.  Of course I think certain celebrities are attractive, but I think crush is a word I'd save for someone I know. So for now I'll just let you guys in on one of my favorite actresses, Angelina Jolie. I love movies she's in and I think she's a pretty fantastic actress.

Day 17 - A photo of you and your family.
It was tough to find a picture of my whole family, but here we go.
 [soph, my dad, me, genevieve]
 [brother & sisters]
[michael, sophie, me, genevieve, mom]

Found this GUY online, and I thought it was amazing. I'm probably going to buy a griddle and tons of bottles so I can start making pancake art :) He's pretty amazing, check it out.

peace & love

another day of catch up, happy birthdays and surprises.

Day 10 - A photo of your favorite place to eat.
it's hard to say where my favorite place to eat is. honestly it depends on my mood, for example it's been the salad bar at hannaford. A few weeks ago it was chinese from Lucky Garden. Most of all I like cooking at home. So here's a picture of the last thing I made for myself :) pretty much the same as always. pesto chicken pizza

Day 11 - What's in your makeup bag.
My makeup bag has always been pretty simple. I have the same eye shadow I wear almost every day, mascara, bronzer, and concealer. Of course I have tons of eye shadow, but it never gets worn and it sits in my drawer. So for my everyday make up bag it's as follows.
Day 12 - A photograph of the town you live in
I'm sorry to say that I don't take very many pictures of Albany. Partially because whenever I'm out and about I am usually running around doing all kinds of things and taking pictures isn't on my mind. (shocker i know). The other reason is because I am still having a hard time liking this place. I enjoy everyone I meet, and have fun when I'm out with my friends...but I'm homesick for Virginia. I miss fairfax and have been having serious home sick episodes recently. So here's one of the few pictures I have of Albany. It's the grocery store the other day. I walked in and all the lights were out. Generator went out or something...everyone was walking around looking very confused. Needless to say it was a little exciting walking around a dark grocery store.
(sorry for it being so blurry)

Day 13 - Your favorite musician and why?
My favorite musician changes just as quickly as my clothes. My mood dictates who I listen to and who I obsess over. Right now I've been listening to  Bedouin Soundclash. Who knows what it will be tomorrow. Enjoy :)
Day 14 - A TV show you're currently addicted to.
Tonight instead of doing homework I decided to travel on over to CW's website. I caught up on my guilty pleasure shows and then stumbled upon their new show Hellcat's. I'm disgusted with myself, but four episodes in this clearly is a show that I will be watching on a weekly basis. I'm too embarassed to even explain what it's about so you'll have to dig up that dirt on your own. Let's just saw if you think watching Bring it On is a guilty pleasure this kicks that movies ass.

Day 15 - Something you don't leave the house without.
This is simple, mascara, lip balm, my ipod and a hair tie. I'm pretty convinced that if I had to live off of what was in my purse I'd easily survive a zombie attack, and look good doing it :).

this past weekend my mom and michael surprised me and came to ny for the weekend. so giant thank you to them for making the eight hour trip to help cure my home sickness :)
oh and of course.

happy belated birthday to the best momma in the world :)

lunch. homework. day 9

Instead of catching up from yesterday I'm just going to say that today is Day 9.

Day 9 - A photo of the item you last purchased.
I took the day off from school so that I could prepare for the guests I'm having this weekend. After cleaning the whole house and pulling a back muscle making me useless I decided to go get myself lunch from Bruegger's; Primo Pesto Chicken sandwhich, chocolate chip cookie, lemonade...perfect. Then I went to the drug store, and bought some nail polish, nail polish remover (which I used the moment after I painted my first nail) and a nail file. The plan was to file my nails and paint them. I've recently grown them out and they really need some glamour...unfortunately the color I choose was not the deep purple I thought. It was blue, and not a pretty one. So unfortunately I will not be doing my nails today...maybe tomorrow night.

[lunch time]

Since I can't do any more cleaning with out wincing in pain my day has been filled with homework, and waiting for Mr. E to get home from camping. My coffee table is covered in books, note books, and papers. I wish I could say I'm not using every single one of them...but I am. Preparation for the four group projects I have beginning next week is on the top of the list. So it's off to homework I go.
[homework. homework. homework.]

what's that song?

Day 8 - A song to match your mood.
So today I was on campus, and I waiting for my class to start. I just happened to sitting outside during a brief stop in the rain and these songs came on. I know they're sappy, but Mr. E  is camping for three days and these came on my ipod right after I talked to him for the last time until thursday. Sometimes I swear itunes shuffle knows my life. Check them out, i LOVE both of their voices, and could listen to these songs over and over. ENJOY :)

[adele: crazy for you]

[james morrison: you make it real]

Day 6 - A photo of an animal you'd love to keep as a pet.
I want to start this post by saying that I love animals. Having said that I'm not a big fan of having pets. Not because I don't want them, but I'm just so picky I don't have a specific kind of pet that I would want. So I've decided to just pay tribute to the best pet ever...Beau my Maltese. He's the best dog I could ever want, he knows when to snuggle on you, knows when to leave you alone. He smiles (and yes he literally smiles) when you walk in the door, and lets be honest...just look at him. How could you not love that face?

Day 7 - Your dream wedding.
Obviously I've been dreaming about my wedding since I  was a young girl, and honestly I spend a lot of time fantasizing about that day. I'm going to keep it brief here because I don't want to give away my wedding, or plan the whole thing here in the blog world before I'm even engaged. So here's a little snap shot. Cooperstown NY, in October, over looking the lake. Dark fall colors, at dusk.
[this is fall in cooperstown. taken 09.25.10]
[sunflowers and the lake in cooperstown]
There that's all you guys are getting. The rest you'll have to wait and see when it happens.
