I am notorius for telling friends and family that "everything will work out" when they're having a tough time. Sometimes I believe this, and sometimes I don't. Usually when I don't believe this it's because things aren't working out in my life, but this saying has always proved true for me and my friends/family.
I had been going through a rough patch, no a rough field for about three years before I moved to NY. My life literally felt like it was falling apart, as well as having everyone telling me that "everything will work out". At this point in my life I was past skeptical and just truly belived that life was just going to get worse. That was until I met a girl who changed my life. She was going through the same tough things I was. We both felt like life just wasn't our game and had accepted that it was going to suck forever. I think we both helped each other heal...a lot. This girl was someone of a completley different nature, I have never met someone like her.
You hear people say that they have friends who are bright lights in their life, and friends who have saved their lives. I never understood what they were saying until I met Ashley. She is one of few bright lights in my life. She helped me realize that I truly deserve everything great in my life and that was something I didn't know. I didn't think that I would be able to be as happy as I once had been, but the day I got a random text asking me to house sit with someone I had barely had three sentences with put me on a path of self improvement and true happiness. I can't imagine if I had actually gone with my first reaction to the text (Which was "what the hell? house sit? i barely know you and you want to spend a night with me in someone's house i've never been to in the middle of nowhere?!) as opposed to my gut feeling (this is going to be fun, and you need friends and she's going to be a good one) I never would have made the amazing transformation I've made.
(in the beginning)

Instead of being miserable and at home, I'm living in Albany, going to school, in a great relationship and actually be happy :)
Along with Ashley I had another person step into my life and push me farther down my path to true happiness. I've gushed about him on here numerous times so I'll spare all of you.
This has gotten a little off topic...but I want to show that everything does work out. Edward is another example...everything that was going wrong in his life seems to finally be coming together. He has a job interview tomorrow, and although it's for an overnight shift which I'm not too excited about I am beyond happy that he has an interview. So good luck :) :)
"everything works out" if you're doubting that things in life can get better just remember that. I promise it's true, no matter how difficult life gets it will get better and everything will work out.
