I spent the majority of Friday listening to the Disney station on Pandora (the most fantastic free radio website....you can get it on your smart phone too. I suggest everyone invest in it, it's fantastic.) and of course studying for my finals when I hear the Sound of Music song My Favorite Things and decided I would make a list of my favorite things....yes, yes I know this is my procrastination working it's fantastic magic...but it's interesting, and i'm on overload with information so here we go :)

1. Thunderstorms: I love them, they're so full of electricity and excitement. When there's a thunderstorm you can usually find me sitting out on a porch watching. A lot of people ask me why I like them so much, and I think I can blame this one on my momma. She has a fear of thunderstorms. Maybe fear isn't the right word...what's worse than fear. Thunderstorms paralyze her, she can usually be found in the basement or on the stairs jumping every time the thunder roars through our house. I think that this fear that my mother has made thunderstorms even more fasinating to me. That wonderment as a child has just followed me into adulthood. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why this amazing natural phenomenon could put her into such a panicked state.
2. Fall: No, not falling...although I tend to do that a lot. I love the fall season. I love the colors, the smell, the weather. I remember when I was little and living in Cooperstown my mom would rake up all the leaves in our yard into a pile and would take pictures of us buried in the leaves. I love everything about Fall. Apple cidar, pumpkins, leaves, scarves, the chilly fall breeze. All of it. Fall in Cooperstown is beautiful, there are so many trees all over the town, so when they change colors it's absolutley beautiful...Albany didn't have the same feeling, although Fall anywhere is fanastic :)
3. night time snow fall: i think it's the most beautiful
